Mentioned in Despatches 'For devotion to duty and consistent good work. Rifleman Pascoe is a company runner. On the 1st October 1916, while the Battalion was in the vicinity of Flers Village, he was required to carry messages from the extreme front under very heavy shell fire. He carried out his duties throughout the day and the following night until finally, on the delivery of a message, he completely collapsed. His work has been consistently good and he has never spared himself in the performance of his duty.'
