'For great bravery and determination in action and for good work with his Platoon for a long period in the line. This NCO has always displayed coolness and courage when under fire and his example has been of great value to the rest of his company. He was particularly active in bombing attacks, and on several occasions the success of the operation was mainly due to his dash and resource.'
