Military Medal 'Operations British Front in the vicinity of the Foret de Mormal, 5th November 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operations, Corporal Munro's Company was temporarily held up by an enemy machine gun
which it was impossible to locate. Working his section round to a flank this NCO got in into position and then boldly walked forward so as to draw the enemy's fire. This he did without being hit. The enemy?s gun was located and rushed by his
section. This act of courage was the means of letting his Company get on, and it inspired the men with great confidence and with the true offensive spirit, and called from them the greatest admiration.'
