Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 23 December 1916 (ulcer, left foot); transferred to NZ Division Rest Station, 25 December 1916; discharged to Reinforcements Camp, 30 December 1916; rejoined unit, 3 January 1917.

Admitted to No 3 NZ Field Ambulance, 11 March 1917, and transferred same day to No 7 General Hospital, St Omer (mumps); to No 4 Stationary Hospital, Arques, 31 March 1917 (rheumatism); discharged to duty, 4 April 1917; rejoined unit, 5 April 1917.
