Wounded in action (second occasion), 10 July 1915 (bomb wound, foot and hand), and admitted to 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station, and transferred to sweeper; admitted to hospital, Malta, 18 July 1915 (dangerously ill); died of tetanus, 23 July 1915.
