Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry in action near Puisieux on August 21st, 1918. During the operations on 21st August an enemy machine gun was firing from a concrete emplacement. Rifleman McClure with great daring advanced on it. He worked his way from shell hole to shell hole, and, under cover of a shell burst rushed the position and killed the crew.'
