Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations on Bon Avis Ridge and around Crevecouer from 29th September 1918 to 3rd October 1918. Private Low is a Brigade Observer. During the operation at Bon Avis ridge when touch could not be established with the Brigade on the right, Private Low in the face of extreme machine gun fire pushed out, reconnoitred the positions of the
troops on the flank and then returned with information which enabled the situation to be cleared up. Again in the operations in front of Crevecouer he visited the advance posts in spite of the most intense machine gun fire and point blank fire from enemy field guns, bringing back invaluable information as to the position of our line. His reports were invariably accurate and exceedingly quickly sent in and his work has been of the utmost value.'
