Military Medal 'During the Chunuk Bair engagement on Gallipoli Sgt Lepper showed great courage and coolness under fire which was exceptionally heavy. During the same fight he carried water over a fire swept area to the fighting line and also showed exceptional bravery in bandaging several wounded men.'
