Military Cross 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in the field during the period from 17th September to 31st December 1918 and during the previous period from 25th Feby to 16th September 1918. During these periods this Officer has acted as signal
officer to his Battalion with conspicuous success and at duty. He has been in action with the Battalion in practically every operation during these periods and with tireless energy and marked personal bravery has established and maintained
at all times signal communication between forward companies and battalion Headquarters. His devotion to duty has been a great inspiration to his section and a continual initiative to these to carry out there work.'
