Detached to Railway Construction Party, 7 January 1917;rejoined unit, 15 March 1917.

Marched in to NZ General Base Depot, Etaples, 4 April 1917; marched out to England, 25 May 1917.

Marched out to King George Hospital, Stamford Road, London, 5 August 1917; classified as unfit by medical Board and placed on NZ Roll, 13 August 1917.

Commenced return to New Zealand from Plymouth on board HT 'Remuera', 27 August 1917; discharged (no longer physically fit for War Service on account of pre-enlistment disability aggravated by Active Service), 20 November 1917.
