Military Medal 'At the assault on Belle Vue Ridge on October 12th, this Non-commissioned officer after his Company Officers had become casualties, took command of two Platoons, leading them forward and making a gallant attempt to capture two "Pill Boxes" which were holding up the advances. His initiative and pluck, and his help in reorganizing were invaluable to his Company.'
