Military Medal 'For gallantry and devotion to duty. During the attack of the New Zealand Division, east of Ypres on 4/10/17, Pte Jamieson as a Stretcher Bearer, worked absolutely without regard to personal safety under heavy hostile barrage. He repeatedly went forward to bring back wounded, and he undoubtedly was the means of saving a number of lives, quite regardless of the danger in which he placed his own self.'
