Military Medal 'Operations: British Front near Beaudignies. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the advance on the 23rd October 1918, Lance Corporal Ingram's Company was held up by machine-gun fire from a Mill. This NCO with skill and determination, led his section out until he gradually worked around the enemy post, taking ten prisoners and enabling his Company to continue the advance. Later the Company was again held up by machine-gun fire from an enemy post on high ground. This NCO again led his Section around the flank of the enemy post killing and capturing the enemy gun crews, enabling the Company to move forward on to their objective. Throughout the operations Lance Corporal Ingram displayed courage and leadership of a high order.'
