Meritorious Service Medal 'For special good work and organising ability as NCO in charge of Brigade Socks Changing Room and Gum Boot store. This NCO, by his personal efforts, has, more than any one person, been responsible that "Trench Feet" has not appeared in the Brigade. He is a very valuable NCO whose services I cannot too highly commend.'
