Military Medal 'At Bois Brenier on 21st February 1917, this NCO showed great courage during the raid of the 2nd Auckland Batt. and by his behaviour kept his mortar in action although the detachment was subjected to heavy enemy fire during the raid. Corporal Horn has been with the Trench Mortars since they became a part of the New Zealand Divisional Artillery and had always shown courage.'
