Meritorious Service Medal 'This NCO has been Superintendent of the Divisional Signal Office in this Company for twelve months. His energy and ability have been most marked and his work throughout has been of the greatest assistance. He has in times of stress on several occasions done work normally done by an officer. His work when the Division was in the Passchendaele, Polygon Wood sectors and in the operations round Bapaume was of the highest order.'
