Military Medal 'At the assault on Belle Vue Ridge on October 12th, this Non-commissioned officer led his section forward from the assembly line, towards a strong point held by the enemy, with great dash and vigour under exceptionally heavy machine-gun fire and succeeded in bombing the enemy, although he could not get at them owing to the wire.'
