'For conspicuous gallantry and continuous good work during the recent operations from 14th August to 7th September, 1918 in the Puisieux and Bapaume Area. On many occasions when owing to heavy enemy artillery fire telephone lines were out Corporal Henry, as linesman, went forward and repaired the wires. At Puisieux, on the morning of 14th August and in front of Metz en Couture on 7th September, this NCO with another Corporal went out through a barrage and at great personal risk repaired the lines, thus re-establishing communication at a vital period. Throughout the operations Corporal Henry displayed the greatest gallantry and devotion to duty setting a splendid example to his subordinates.'
