Military Medal 'During the attack on Grid Trench on 27th September 1916, Pte Harris was wounded by a bullet in the shoulder, but he came forward with spare parts and rejoined L/ Cpl Fahrell and assisted him in working his Lewis gun and carrying ammunition, when he was forced by his wound to give up.'
