Meritorious Service Medal 'For devotion to duty in the Field. This NCO's work as a member of the Battalion Transport has been of the highest order and it is to a considerable extent due to his untiring effort that the efficiency of the transport has been maintained at a high standard. No task has been too arduous for him, and he has willingly at all times worked without sparing himself in the interest of the Battalion. During recent operations his work with the transport was noticeable for the manner inwhich under adverse conditions and enemy fire he always carried out what was asked of him. No praise can be too high for the excellent and valuable services of this NCO.'
