'Operations: British Front in the Vicinity of the Foret de Mormal ? 5th November 1918. For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. During the above operations Corporal Wagg was in command of a section, and when his Company was held up he rushed his section forward with great dash and determination, penetrating the enemy line, disorganising them and capturing prisoners. His courage and utter disregard for his own personal safety was a magnificent example to all ranks.'
